Community & Public Relations
The Community & Public Relations Office performs the following functions:
- Collects and disseminates information about the district through publications, newsletters, brochures, public service announcements, advertisements, news releases, web sites, etc.
- Builds positive working relationships with local media representatives, including providing media training to district staff.
- Organizes community presentations.
- Coordinates district-wide planning and goal setting.
- Encourages meaningful family and community involvement.
- Coordinates the School-Business Partnership Program.
- Works closely with community organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, the Council of PTAs, etc.
- Develops and coordinates special projects and activities, including school bond issues, school calendars, district-wide safety/crisis plans, etc.
- Coordinates district participation in community activities and special events.
